Sheehan Music

	marni sheehan Marni is an established performer with a rock'n'roll past. She played with many Melbourne bands as a songwriter/bass player/vocalist but these days performs mostly her own material playing acoustic guitar, mandolin & accordion. Marni works solo or as a trio with Jim Williams (guitar) & Tony Spizzica (upright bass)and sometimes with Dave Sheehan (guitar) and Amos Sheehan (bass). Latter day gigs Maldon FF 2005, Chewton FF 2004/2005, Coastfest 2005, various folk clubs Syd & Melb. .Marni released an album, 'Critters & Specimens' in late 2004. A new album, "Inside Stories" is almost completed for release early 2007. Lots of mates have generously contributed their talents and sparkle, including Kenny White, Fiona White, Jim Williams, Tony Spizzica, Dave Sheehan, Amos Sheehan, Russell Smith, Sue Lesser, Maggie Littlejohn and Mark Woods of Bald Hill Studios, where both albums have been recorded. Marni is looking forward to working more with the release of Inside Stories late January 2007.
Marni also works with that wonderful acoustic blues Maldon institution 'The Croakers', old rockers (Roger Davies & Jim Williams) who are now living the quiet life!!, one local, Kinga Roy, Maldon's leading man. and the Incredible Elmoreman, Tony Spizzica. Marni has a girl's gig also with The Kitchen Girls, Maggie Littlejohn and Kerri Patmore, playing old timey and a few Irish & Scottish fiddle/mandolin/guitar tunes. Lots of fun

dave sheehan is a fine exponent of blues and soul/funk guitar, and a quality songwriter. He has played and toured extensively throughout Australia primarily with erstwhile soul/r&b bands Curtis Late and Heavy Earth, contributing his songs to the repertoires of both these bands. He has guested with many other bands both live and on record, notably Checkerboard, the Funken Wagnalls, and Lola's Lost Weekend. His recent album credits include guest guitar tracks on albums by Sime Nugent and Carl Pannuzzo, and of course an appearance on Critters & Specimens. Dave has written many fine songs which await rebirth on a lucky someone's album.

amos sheehan has a notable track record stretching back more than ten years as a bass player, songwriter and more recently hip hop mc. He has been a long term member of that Melbourne acid blues institution Checkerboard, and has played for five years as bass player with Sime Nugent and the Forefathers. Amos currently plays in Motorace Guitarist Dave Ong's new band. In addition Amos has found time to play in numerous other musical lineups and has developed his own mc alter ego ButtonHead . Amos also has a fine collection of songs as yet to be recorded.
